CreativeHub - Course 1 (How to post)
One of the skills required of you as part of the CreativeHub management team is Website Design skill.
I already told you that this is a place for learning. Contrary to assumption, website design is not as hard as it's popularly presented (just think of it as the way you post on your facebook status); don't misunderstand me, I won't deny the fact that there are levels of complexities. I still want you to understand this truth: ... WE KNOW/LEARN IN PART... 1 Corinthians 13:9
Trust me; my presentation on website design will help you see the concept in a simpler dimension.
Notable Points
- There are coding/programming approaches to website design - primarily HTML coding, CSS for styling, JS for programming, others may be added
- There is another appoach - WYSIWYG/CMS
- Understanding the principles behind any path you take is the most germane of all
I'm purposefully going from simple to complex.
Choosing the simple pathway - there are so many tools we can employ, but for this moment, I choose the blogger platform.
BLOGGER/BLOGSPOT
This is a google own platform; a blog;
A blog is majorly based on articles (text) but other types of content can be included; other types of content include images, audio, video, etc.
Blogger/blogspot can be accessed using the URL: blogger.com; requirement is google/gmail account
NOTE: this article is not taking us through the rudiment of website design using blogger but a purposeful guide on how to post on CreativeHub website - (SOME OTHER DAY, I'M GOING TO PREPARE A FULL COURSE ON WEBSITE DESIGN)
CreativeHub website is based on blogger; As the admin, I choose grant any third party the access to the back-end of the website.
Navigating to blogger.com may take you to google log-in page (if you haven't) - do so with your google account
HOW TO POST ON BLOGGER
Admin vs Author priviledge by default (POST) will load if have already signed-up and logged-in with your google (gmail) account.
Can you spot the differences between the two? I would like to hear from the comment session. One of the reasons for the differences is the admin priviledge which give room for more menu; 1st is the author & 2nd is the admin. Admin has more added advantages over the author & can do more with the website interface. Fortunately, both ADMIN & AUTHOR can POST on the blogger platform. By default, the POST INTERFACE load & previous post are there (if any). You can choose to edit, delete, unpublish or create a new post.
It must be noted that; you may choose between your gmail account if you had already log-in with multiple accounts on your browser. Just choose the relevant account!
Click NEW POST take us to the slide below; you are free to input your TITLE. Also, we are going to explore all the MENU one after the other but more emphasis on some; my subsequent post will be shedding light on others;
The first MENU ITEM is to switch between HTML view & Compose view, HTML view require knowledge of coding & programming while Compose view doesn't require that. For now choose Compose view
Next, is the undo & redo MENU ITEM; after this, font type.Below is the font size MENU ITEM
Next MENU ITEM is increase indent & decrease indent
I hope in my next post to lay emphasis on IMAGE; stay tuned till then, Thanks.
